PUMPKIN SPICE HOT CHOCOLATE

 This rich and creamy Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate is made with pumpkin puree, cocoa powder, spices and a hint of ginger that makes this recipe perfect for the fall, winter and really any other time. Just imagine this scenario: a cold day, a warm blanket, your favorite Netflix show and a cup of this hot chocolate, this is just amazing:)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 3 tablespoon pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 teaspoon all spices
  • 1 teaspoon powder chocolate unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • cup chocolate chips semi-sweet white
  • cup chocolate chunks semi-sweet
  • a pinch of salt
  • a pinch of salt to balance the flavors
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  • In a saucepan combine the milk (I use almond milk), spices, powder unsalted chocolate and pumpkin puree place it on the stove over a medium-high heat and whisk to combine. Bring to a boil and lower the heat
  • Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chunks
  • Whisk until all the chocolate is melted and well combined, bring the temperature back to medium-high heat for 3 minutes.
  • Let the hot chocolate set for about 3 minutes and serve!

Notes

  • You can use any type of milk
  • There's no need for sugar as the chocolate provides enough sweetness
  • Keep whisking at all time to make sure all  ingredients are well incorporated
  • It’s important to let the hot chocolate sit for at least 2 minutes before serving it.
