This Baked Tilapia Recipe is high in protein, easy to make and the best of all, it’s packed with great flavors. These tilapia fillets are seasoned and baked in less than 30 minutes. How to make Baked Tilapia Fillets:
Place fillets in a baking pan and season them with garlic, salt, and black pepper. I always like to use fresh garlic but powder garlic will work as well.
Proceed to add olive oil and half of a lemon juice. The other half of the lemon I cut into slices and added to the pan to bake. I also added 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter to obtain the beautiful golden color. (optional)
Baked them at 425 degrees F for 12-15 minutes or internal temperature of 145 degrees F. While the fillets are baking proceed to prepare the sauce.
How to make the sauce:
First dice all the veggies. I decided to use tomatoes, red onions, red and green peppers, and some cilantro.
Add some oil to a saucepan. Set the pan over high-medium heat and add all the veggies. Seasoned with salt and pepper to taste and saute for 3-5 minutes
Add the tomato sauce and water. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook until the sauce has thickened.
