Ingredients

  • 4 (4 oz.) salmon filets
  • 1 tablespoon Himalayan salt and black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • Drizzle honey and freshly squeezed lemon after cooking.

Instructions

  • Making this salmon recipe is so simple. Start by setting your oven to broil. Then, coat a sheet pan with cooking spray and set aside.
  • Prep the salmon. Rub the spices on both sides of the salmon filet and place them on the baking sheet. Add lemon slices under the thickest part of the salmon, and add 2 slices of unsalted butter on both ends of the fish.
  • Broil for 10-15 minutes or until salmon is browned and opaque. There is no need to flip the salmon over for this recipe. Keeping the salmon skin-side up allows the skin to crisp under the broiler.
  • The best way to know if the salmon is ready is when the flesh goes from translucent to opaque and the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  • To serve, garnish with the already cooked lemon wedges, then serve.
