Jumpstart your day with this delicious and refreshing Watermelon Banana Smoothie. It’s fresh, healthy and satisfying. Now that the weather is getting warmer I have been obsessed with this smoothie. Every morning after my daily walk I have this drink and this is truly all I need to feel energized and satisfied.
My favorite fruit to have during the summer is Watermelon:) There is nothing more refreshing than eating a cool watermelon on a hot day. This fruit is not only low in calories but it’s high in water content and a good source of antioxidants, which reduce inflammation of the body.

How to Make This
Refreshing Watermelon Banana Smoothie
One of the things I love about making smoothies is how easy it is to make them. I like to have my blender and a basket with fruits on the counter at all times, making it more accessible while I’m blending. This smoothie is made with very simple ingredients: watermelon, banana, oats, chia seeds, mint, honey, and some ice.
All you have to do is blend away!
Why Chia seeds and Oats?
Chia seeds: These amazing seeds are low in calories and high in fiber. Besides being packed with nutrients, chia seeds also regulate blood sugar levels and help you feel fuller which is ideal on those days when you’re on a time crunch.
Oats: This is a great source of fiber as well. However, the smoothie can be a little grainy so my suggestion is to use a colander.
Other Ingredients you can add to this smoothie:
- Peanut butter
- Almond butter
- Strawberries
- Berries
- Spinach

- 1 teaspoon oat bran
