On weekdays I’m so busy. I have many things on my plate and not necessarily food;). With everything happening in the world and kids spending more time at home than at school, I feel there is not enough time in a day to do all the things I have to. Sometimes just thinking about what to make for dinner is just too much. This is why for my sanity and those around me, I try to make dinner time as less complicated and simple but still have delicious meals at the table.  I accomplish this tonight with this Beef Stir Fry Recipe and its only fair I share with YOU!

Ribeye-steak-Stir-fry-Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 10 ounces boneless ribeye steak
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 cup peppers (I used red and yellow)
  • 1cup mushrooms
  • 1 small carrot
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ⅓ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce lite
  • ½ cup Teriyaki sauce
  • ⅓ cup sesame sauce (I used P.F Chang’s Home menu sesame sauce) Optional

How to make this Quick Beef Stir-Fry:

The first step is to prepare the meat. In this recipe, I use a boneless ribeye. To me, this is a very tender cut of meat and you can find it at Aldis at a very reasonable price. You can also make this recipe with flank steak or skirt steak. Just remember to cut the meat against the grain in thin slices and place it in a bowl.

Next, season the meat with ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ⅓ teaspoon black pepper, ¼ teaspoon onion powder. As you can see,  No salt is needed as we are going to be using soy sauce later on.

I also suggest having the vegetables cut into your desired size.

In a large wok or skillet heat 1 teaspoon oil at high temperature and add the meat. Cook for about  2-3  minutes each side. Then, add the mushrooms and carrots,  stir until all is well combined.

Proceed to add the rest of the vegetables. I decided to add peppers and onions but you can include others like broccoli or green beans.

Next, add ⅓ cup soy sauce lite and½ cup teriyaki sauce, 1/3 cup sesame sauce, and stir until all is well combined. Let it cook for about 2 to 4 minutes or until the vegetables are in your desired texture and the sauce has thickened. If you decide to add broccoli it will take it a little longer. Now is time to serve!
