Pumpkin Bread easy to makeWhat I like best about this pumpkin bread recipe is how adjustable it is. You can use chopped walnuts and/or pecans for the chocolate chips, or leave them out entirely for a plain loaf.

How to Make This Pumpkin Bread Recipe

  1. First step: Grease a metal 9×5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, and salt. I use a fine-mesh sieve to distribute them better. Place aside.
  2. Next: In a separate mixing bowl, combine the eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Incorporate the pumpkin, oil, and orange juice. Whisk until all the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Then: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and combine gently with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon. A few lumps are inevitable. Avoid over-mixing. Continue by gently folding in the chocolate chips.
  4. Lastly: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and place it in the oven for an hour. The bread is done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean with only a few moist crumbs. Depending on your range, this could be before or after the hour, so start monitoring every 5 minutes at the 55-minute point.
