These Buffalo-Style Fried Chicken Tenders are the perfect party appetizer. They are crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. These tenders are packed with lots of flavors. They are an excellent choice for the Superbowl coming up. But there’s no need to use this event as an excuse to make them. They are great at any time
These buffalo- style fried chicken tenders are easy to eat while mingling with family and friends and cheering for your favorite team
These chicken tenderloins are fried first and then coated with a spicy homemade buffalo-style sauce that tastes amazing. If frying is not your preference, no worries. You can easily oven-bake them as well.
How to make these Buffalo-Style Fried Chicken Tenderloins:
Step 1: Season the chicken tenderloins with garlic, salt, and black pepper and set aside.
Step 2: On a plate, combine the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt. Place the chicken tenderloins two at a time (depending on side of the plate) and coat them with the mixture.
Step 3: Next, on a nonstick pan start heating oil over medium-high heat (make sure the oil is really hot)
Step 4: Place the pieces in the pan and fry them for about 4 minutes each side or until the golden brown.
Step 5: Place the fried pieces of chicken tenderloins on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil (about 2 minutes).
Step 6: To avoid messy fingers, Insert a kabob stick inside the chicken tenderloins and coat them with the homemade Buffalo-style sauce which I also used to make my Best Buffalo-Style Chicken Wings Recipe (instructions down below) and serve!
How to make Homemade Buffalo-Style Sauce:
In a bowl combine melted butter, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey and some cayenne pepper for a little kick. Next, whisk the ingredients until well combined.
- If you prefer a sweeter sauce, just omit the cayenne pepper.
Serve with carrots celery sticks and some blue cheese or ranch. Enjoy!
Tips to make Fried Chicken Tenderloins
- The trick to crispy and moist chicken tenderloins is to coat the pieces with a mixture of flour, some salt (about 1 teaspoon) and some baking powder (1/2 teaspoon). Follow the recipe card instructions!
- For extra crispy tenderloins: dip the chicken pieces into egg wash before coating with flour mixture. To make the egg wash just whisk an egg with 1 tablespoon of liquid( water, milk or even cream)
- Place the already fried pieces of chicken tenders on a paper towel to get rid of excess oil (about 2 minutes).

For Baked Chicken Tenderloins:
- First, season the chicken tenderloins
- To obtain the crispy texture, add some baking powder
- Add some olive oil or unsalted butter and oven- bake them for about 15 to 18 minutes on 375-degree Fahrenheit.
- Place the chicken tenderloins on a baking sheet with a wire rack. This will facilitate air circulation within the chicken creating an evenly crispy skin

Here is an amazing idea. You can use it to make a delicious chicken sandwich with them. Just add lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, some of the spicy sauce and some blue cheese all in a roll.

BUFFALO-STYLE FRIED CHICKEN TENDERLOINS RECIPE
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pound chicken tenderloins about 8 pieces
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)2 teaspoons if using powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt use a pinch or two of salt in the flour mixture
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cup canola oil
- 1 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup hot sauce I use Frank’s Red Hot Sauce
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
