This amazing and healthy grain would only take 15 minutes to cook. I have to be honest; I started eating quinoa not long ago. I was always inclined to go for rice when it comes to grains, but everything changed the day I was introduced to quinoa. Now, I can’t get enough of it. I eat quinoa as a side dish and in my salads.
Quinoa Recipe in Just 15 Minutes
It’s easy to make, but it’s a great source of protein and excellent nutritional value. One of the things I love the most about quinoa is how the grain complements other flavors. Although this grain by itself might have a nutty, earthy taste, it does absorb other flavors and spices, making it a great side dish with foods that are high in flavor.
How to cook Quinoa
- 1 cup of quinoa
- 2 cups of water
- 1 teaspoon of oil
First, rinse the quinoa. I like to use a strainer or colander. Then, in a small pan, I put the quinoa and add water to cook over high heat for about 2 minutes to bring the water to a boiling state. Then lower the temperature to the lowest setting and cover the pan. Cook the quinoa for about 10 minutes and serve with your favorite meats or add to your salads.
